Hello My Name Is...

Kathleen Konopak

This is my 37th year of teaching, and my 30th year at Las Flores!  I still love teaching as much as I did as a first-year teacher in 1979.  It's the only job I can think of where I'm  actually happy when Monday morning comes around!
2nd grade is a big year!  We start reading chapter books, writing organized 5-sentence paragraphs with topic sentence and supporting details, regrouping in addition and subtraction, multiplying, and we gain in independence and self-confidence.  I love being part of all the learning, fun, and happiness!
